When Erion’s son is kidnapped by the evil vampire Cruen, Erion vows to stop at nothing to find his hideaway—including intercepting the traveling party of Cruen’s beautiful bride-to-be. But instead of a vulnerable caravan, Erion is met by a feral band of female demons that includes Hellen, the bride—a creature of dark magic and darker passion.

Though the safety of his son is foremost, Erion can’t deny his unexpected connection to Hellen—inflaming a manic desire as primal as it is irresistible. As their bond intensifies, they move toward an inevitable and terrifying battle. With time running out, Erion realizes he must not only find and rescue his son but protect Hellen from Cruen and the underworld forces waiting to destroy her for her betrayal.

Reviewer’s Thoughts

A missing vampire child and a father willing to do anything to get him back. Erion has never really known love. Never known what it means to feel it or have it felt for him. But for the first time he feels that connection with another being. Unfortunately for him that connection is with his captive.

Our hero, Erion is a vampire Mutore hybrid on a mission to rescue his son, kidnapped by Erion’s own cruel foster father, the enemy of their kind. Our heroine, Hellen, is the oldest of the Devil’s daughters. She has been unwillingly betrothed to Cruen in order to form an alliance between the vampires and the demons, giving her father a foothold on earth.  Erion and Hellen start off as enemies. He actually kidnaps her in order to use her as leverage to draw Cruen out of hiding and get his son back.  What neither had bargained with was the almost instant spark between them. No matter how much they try to hate each other, no matter how much they try to fight it, that spark just gets stronger the more time they spend together. Eventually, working together they must find a way to get the child back, even if it means traveling to the bowels of hell to do it.

I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two characters. You couldn’t possibly find a better match. They bring out the best in each other while battling their own misconceived misconceptions. Add a sweet little boy who, like most children, knows a lot more than adults give him credit for and you have a family made in heaven… or in this case hell.
