Reviewer’s Thoughts

First of all, I have to admit that I am a wild and screaming fangirl of Lauren Blakely. I have loved every book that she’s written, and I’m sure that I’ll love everything that she’ll write in the future. She has such a smooth writing style. Her characters are very real, and their conversations are as well. Sometimes, an author will write “proper English” for somebody, and it sounds very put on. Nobody REALLY talks like that, right? When LB writes dialogue, it’s believable, and sometimes, very raw.

“Every Second With You” is the continuing story of Harley and Trey. We met them in “The Thrill of It”. It picks up (literally) as soon as the first leaves off. Both of our heroes have had a difficult life, but when they come together, it’s nothing short of magic. They have to trudge through a lot of heartache before their relationship can soar. And soar it does! Sometimes, my heart actually ACHED because of their devotion to each other. You know that I don’t give spoilers, but it’s especially the case with this book. You really must read it.

Harley and Trey’s chemistry is nothing short of perfection. The sex scenes are damn near nuclear. They’re very young, but both are so mature because of all that they’ve been through. They’re kindred souls, and you’ll be rooting for them through the whole story. I even loved all but one of the secondary characters. They’re well written and vital to the story. They’re not intrusive at all, and they compliment the main characters very nicely.

To sum it up…you HAVE to read “Every Second With You”! Like I said earlier, it’s the sequel to “The Thrill of It”, so you should read that one first, if you already haven’t. You’ll fall in love with Harley and Trey. I did, and I’m so happy to have been part of their lives.
