MALIYA
Falling in love is not for me. I don’t do relationships, they never end well.I don’t believe in fate, soul mates or happy, fairy tale endings. I’m definitely not a sweet little princess in search of her prince. I have a plan to follow and falling in love is not part of that plan.Nothing is going to change my mind. Not even a domineering, gorgeous, blue-eyed firefighter who seems to be everywhere I go.
CALEB
The moment I saw her, I knew.I knew the funny, curvy, raven haired beauty was supposed to be mine. She may not agree with me at the moment, but I’m a patient man.I’m not afraid to play dirty to get what I want. And I want Maliya Abbott.
When her sister decides to move from London, across the Atlantic Ocean to Starling Falls to run an estranged relative’s bakery, Maliya Abbott is pretty sure her sister has lost her ever-loving mind.
Not wanting to be separated from the only family she has left, Maliya goes with her, a move that was only supposed to last a year. After all, training to be a doctor at the same University her parents did had always been her goal. What she hadn’t planned on, was meeting Caleb Jameson. A man who is adamant they are destined to be together. That would be great, if she actually believed in any of that crap.
She also hadn’t planned on his insane, lovable, meddling family trying to derail her plans.
Maliya is a smart girl. She knows what she wants and what she doesn’t want. She definitely wants to go to Oxford University and train to become a doctor. She definitely does NOT want anything to do with Caleb Jameson.
Now, if only she could get her stupid heart to listen to her head.
Authors Note: 18+ For mature readers only. Book contains graphic language, scenes of a very sexual nature, a dirty-talking and determined alpha male, a sassy and food obsessed heroine who talks to herself far too much, a cynical and suspicious geriatric aunt, a meddlesome family, some very unhelpful friends, a mind controlling goldfish and a possibly cannibalistic cat…

I have not been this excited about a first-time writers debut book in a long time – Aiden Willows hits it out of the park for me with Falling Completely.

Maliya and her sister Niki have just had each other ever since their parents passed away.  Niki a pastry chef has an opportunity in the US to take over their aunts bakery and decides to move from London to Starling Falls – Maliya (or Liya) is a nurse but has an opportunity to go to Oxford to train to become a doctor.  Not wanting to leave her sister alone in a new country she defers a year and moves to Starling Falls to help Niki but has every intention of moving back to London to finish school.  The last thing Liya is looking for is to date let alone fall for someone.

Caleb and his brothers and sister had a rough beginning – their mother a junky and alcoholic gave up parental rights to her brother and his wife when the siblings were young.  Caleb being the second to the oldest has always taken care of his family and those around him – becoming a firefighter allows him to be that person.  When he is struck by a car saving a little boy Liya rushes to help him, the sparks fly and Caleb in a delusional state mistakes her for an Angel and things take off from there.  Can he make Liya stay or should he follow her to London?

This story is fast paced with great character development and dialog between all the characters not just between Caleb and Liya.  Which was difficult there are a lot of characters but I really felt each one got their due.   The author does a great job with exposition that makes you feel like you are in Starling Falls which I loved.  Told in dual POV’s you really got a chance to know the main characters and where their heads were at during the course of the story.  If I had one concern was that in the beginning it was a little confusing on which sister the story was about – but once I moved to the second chapter it was clear and the writing got 100 times better.  This is the first book in the Starling Falls series and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

If you are looking for a new author please give Aiden Willows a try – you will not be disappointed
