Skye Summers endured a tragic past. She wants what the past stole, and despite lingering scars, she’s surviving and thriving. Now she cures the sick, heals the wounded, and takes care of those clinging to life. The only person she can’t heal is herself, because Skye is too broken for love.

Ash Dean has it all: Fame, fortune, and the adoration of screaming fans. The constant parties, drugs, alcohol, and an endless string of one-night stands are taking their toll. He gives and his fans take, until he’s lost within the crowd. He wants someone to see him for the man he wishes to be rather than the one he’s become.

One fate…

Two lives…

Three Days…

No sex.

That’s the proposition…

It would be insane to accept and Skye’s a fool to agree, but she’s tired of playing it safe.

It’s time to take a leap of faith, besides what could go wrong?

Cocktails and Books received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect our opinion of the book or the content of our review.

This is an emotional, feel good rock star romance. Skye is a doctor working in the emergency room when she first meets Ash. When Skye meet Ash, she has no idea he is a big rock star and treats him like she would anyone else.  Skye grew up in foster care and has to work hard for everything she has achieved.  Her childhood was a nightmare and the only good that came out of it, is her foster brother, Forest.  Skye is hard working, trustworthy, spunky and has character.  Her past has made her a driven person, yet she is still haunted by it. After all the pain Skye has suffered, she deserves some happiness.

Ash is sexy and nice and chases after Skye.  He grew up in a normal family and has a great outlook on life. He is down to earth and unspoiled by his success.  Ash can’t believe he has finally met a woman who treats him like he is normal and doesn’t have ulterior motives. Ash is caring, protective and patient with Skye and wants to help her.

Skye and Ash have an immediate bond and he never gives up on her.  Skye has a hard time understanding what a famous rock star would see in her. This is an entertaining story with lots of chemistry between Skye and Ash.

I love a contemporary romance loaded with banter and chemistry with a protective alpha male pursuing a feisty female. When I’m not reading I’m spending time with my family and fostering dogs. I've been reviewing for Cocktails and Books since April 2013.
