Reviewer’s Thoughts

Heat Flash is a suspenseful story with lots of steamy heat about the one that got away. Kendall is the little sister that tagged along behind her brother Bobby and his best friend Mason. The trio go their separate ways but not before Kendall and Mason find that there is more to their relationship than brotherly/sisterly love. Years pass and the trio are reunited when Kendall finds herself in a dangerous situation.

The chemistry between Kendall and Mason was awesome. They were two passionate people that loved each other, tried to keep everything platonic, but there was just too mush electricity between them. Even when they were having a misunderstanding the characters still demonstrated care and concern for each other. Mason’s insecurities caused him to be a horse’s behind at times but Kendall kept her head and didn’t lash out at him. She was brave enough to take a chance on their love more than once and that kept the romance aspect of the plot moving. Kendall’s character was frustrating at times and had me shouting at the book. As the little sister I’m totally familiar with really wanting my big brothers to help but also wanting to be independent. I wanted Kendall to think before she put herself in danger or call in the calvary when she was in danger. I was so afraid she would wait until it was too late. The plot completely drew me in and I was guessing up to the end. I enjoyed every character and the fact that I was never bored or tempted to skim pages. I had to read every word to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.

Kendall’s sister Mandy was a great addition to the characters, and I can’t wait to get the next book to hopefully (fingers crossed) read about her happy ending. My eternal gratitude goes out to the author for setting up another book without leaving a cliffhanger. It makes me want to read her books even more.

This is one of the best romantic suspense novels I’ve read. The plot has excellent timing and events that are easy to follow and yet not easy to predict. The characters seem like the people down the street or that you grew up knowing and loving. Heat flash is the best of all the things that make up life.
