23443319Vanessa Sanchez is the owner of a small boutique in Treasure Cove. She lives life by her rules, and sees no reason to complicate matters. She’s come to understand that while many of her friends are getting married and starting a family, she will never have that, because who would want half of a woman? The men over at Cove’s Auto Body shop are hard working men, who, for the last seven years, have lived a quiet life raising their son. When the beautiful Latin shop owner revs their engines, they take a leap of faith and step on the gas. The only problem, she refuses to go for a ride. When a stranger comes to town and threatens to roadblock their happiness, the men take the wheel and put them all on a course that could have dire consequences. Can they all work together to get themselves out of the jam, or will they all crash and burn?

Reviewer’s Thoughts

Rebecca Joyce created another page turned with Her Dirty Mechanics. This book drew me in from the begining. The pace was perfect not slow at all and not too fast. Vanessa a woman with her own issues especially about herself has to learn more about herself and her strength. She has her emotional baggage and a scarred past that everyone can relate to on some levels regardless if they have ever been through what she has. Brice, Carter and Peter are best friends who each have a distinct personality and are not what they seem. They are the classic example of not judging a book by its covers. Vanessa has a lot to learn and she develops and learns as the plot moves you in the direction it is taking. This is one of the books in the series The Men of Treasure cove. I do not think you have to have read the others to love this book. However for other characters in this book Rebecca makes you want to read the series if you haven’t read the others.

The way the charterers develop and interact is believable and enjoyable. The ending isn’t all cliff hangar but does leave you wanting to read the next in the series but the characters of the book are left in a place that you will love. The ending was perfect in my opinion. I love how Vanessa’s family handles the outcome and how they are different that even she herself knows. The love and devotion you feel in this and her other books between the characters in each others family’s, the friends and fellow towns folk. Treasure Cove and the residents come alive and make you want to seek this town and the people out. Peter is the strong one, Carter the scared one and Brice the loving giant all men that you would love to have chasing after you individually or as a team effort. All of the characters come alive and are relatable and people you would love to know. Her Dirty Mechanics was a great book and worth every dime. The book also introduced me to characters that I am hoping that Rebecca will be releasing books about as well.
