I’ve been waiting for Lucas’ book.  Even though we didn’t get much about him in SEXY JERK, I had a feeling he had a story that was begging to be told.

Lucas Carrington has wanted the NFL for as long as he could remember.  It was his ticket out of Chicago and put his childhood behind him.  But a last minute change at the draft has him suddenly the #1 QB for the Bears and having to figure out how he can be who he wants on a team he doesn’t.  What he doesn’t expect is an accident with a water cart changing everything for him.

I loved Lucas and Gillian together.  From that first meeting, there was no denying the chemistry between the two.  They got each other, understood what was important to each other and were willing to do whatever they could to make sure the other was happy.  It made me giddy when these two would discover they couldn’t stay away from each other, even when they tried.

While I loved the story I did wish there was more interaction between Nick and Lucas.  Nick had such a huge impact on Lucas’ life that I would have thought we would have seen more one on one interaction.  Maybe a discussion about their parents.  Just something.

Another great read from one of my one-click authors.  You don’t have to be a sports romance fan to enjoy this book.  The connection between these two makes this a hard book to put down.

About Kim Karr

I live in Florida with my husband and four kids. I’ve always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, I wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. I went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise my family. I currently work part-time with my husband and full-time embracing one of my biggest passions—writing.
