From the author of Fly with Me and the Capital Confessions Novels comes the newest in the sexy Wild Aces Romance series.   Eric Jansen—call sign Thor—loves nothing more than pushing his F-16 to the limit. Returning home to South Carolina after a tragic loss, he hopes to fix the mistake he made long ago, when he chose the Air Force over his fiancée.   Becca Madison isn’t quick to welcome Thor back. She can’t forget how he shattered her heart. But Thor won’t give up once he’s set his sights on what he wants—and he wants Becca.   Thor shows Becca that he’s no longer the impulsive boy he used to be, and Becca finds herself irresistibly drawn to him. But will Thor be able to walk away from his dream of flying the F-16 for their love or does his heart belong to the sky?

I love the Wild Aces series.  The good news is that the second book – Into the Blue is a true standalone so if you start with this you won’t be lost at all.

Eric Jansen’s career as an F16 fighter pilot is changing.  After witnessing a tragic accident involving a friend and fellow pilot; Eric is having a hard time coping and is ultimately wondering if he is doing what he is supposed to be doing with his life.  The problem is that 10 years prior he gave up the only girl he has ever loved to become a pilot – does that mean he throw away the love of his life for nothing?  As Eric is trying to cope he returns home after 10 years to regroup and hopefully see Becca again.

Becca Madison a successful lawyer in her own right has dealt with loss her entire life.  Her parents and then Eric her fiancé when he broke up with her 10 years ago to join the military.  She is still hurting from him leaving so when he shows up again in their small hometown it’s hard to ignore him.  The problem for Becca is that he is still the guy she fell in love with all those years ago but she can”t trust him and ultimately they want different things.

The author Chanel Cleeton does it again making the reader feel what the main characters are going through.  Told in dual POV’s the author does a fantastic job letting you see what the characters are going through in the story.  The exposition is done well along with the character development.   You also get a glimpse of characters from the previous book and the author does a great job setting up book 3.  (Which I can’t wait for).

If you are looking for a great summer read  with hunky fighter pilots and a strong feisty heroine than this is definitely for you.
