In It’s Only Love, Marie Force takes us back to the Abbott family for Ella’s story. She has been in love with Gavin Guthrie for a long time, but he hasn’t been open to the idea. One night when he needs help changes everything for these two.
The time period for the book is very short, just a couple of weeks, but Ella and Gavin have been circling around each other for a long time, so the quick progression of their relationship doesn’t seem strange. Gavin is struggling with a few issues and it was nice to see the light flip on that “protecting” Ella from himself was just hurting them both. This is a well written, entertaining book, but nothing more than I would have expected from this author.
I have missed books 3 and 4 in the series somehow, but that did not detract from my ability to enjoy this story. I would suggest that someone new to the Green Mountain series not start with this book because a lot of Gavin’s back story goes hand in hand with Hannah Abbott’s story (book #2).
