Katie Ashley, the New York Times bestselling author of Redemption Road and Vicious Cycle, returns to the dangerous and seductive world of the Hells Raiders motorcycle club…
After her father was murdered in the line of duty, ATF agent Samantha Vargas is determined to take down the scumbags of the drug trade. When her partner takes on a case to infiltrate the Hells Raiders MC, Samantha agrees to go undercover as his old lady but is surprised to find herself drawn to the very man she is investigating.
Benjamin “Bishop” Malloy has worked hard to carve a place for himself both in and out of the MC world. Working days as a mechanic, he spends his nights rebuilding motorcycles with the hope of one day owning his own shop. After taking one of the club’s new hang-arounds under his wing, Bishop is conflicted over his growing attraction for the man’s girlfriend.
Even though she’s determined to bring down the Raiders, Samantha discovers their world isn’t as black-and-white as she thought. And as the stakes grow higher, she’s in danger of losing more than her heart.

An ATF Agent and a biker make a strange but interesting pairing in Last Mile by Katie Ashley, the third book in her Vicious Cycle series. Samantha Vargas witnessed her father’s death when he’s one assignment for her job, and that fuels her need to put away the bad guys. This includes the Hells Raiders, where she goes undercover with her partner as his girlfriend, the very club the Bishop belongs. Bishop Malloy is the brother of the previous two books of the series, but you don’t need to read the other two to know what’s going on. He agrees to help out Samantha’s partner, but finds himself attracted to the sexy ATF agent.

This was definitely a push and pull story, with both fighting an attraction they knew they shouldn’t have. Getting to know more about what made Bishop tick was interesting, because all he wanted to do was work and help out his brothers. He was a strong alpha, and watching him and the strong willed Samantha dance around each other made for a great read. It was also interesting to see Samantha try to work through what she wanted and what she felt like she needed. There was the usual suspense and trouble that the couple seems to find themselves in throughout this series, but watching them rely on each other really drove their relationship further. Their chemistry was explosive, and Ms. Ashley adds another great book to the series.
