Kadee has rules—rules that keep her on track to become part of Nashville’s country music industry. An internship at a top record label is a sure way of getting there. A week before her internship begins, she meets Carter in a bar, and for the first time she considers breaking those rules. After an amazing night together, she leaves him asleep in a park, sure she will never see him again. Little does she know fate has a different plan in store.

Carter comes to Nashville to take over his family’s failing record label. The only thing is, he resents it. He’s ready to pack up and head home when he meets Kadee. She shows him the city, and now he can’t get her or Nashville off his mind.

With revived interest, Carter sets out to save his label, only he needs something truly spectacular to rescue the company.

Will Kadee be the one to save them both?

Reviewer’s Thoughts

This sweet, love story gives an inside look into the Nashville music scene.  Kadee is a senior in college and looking forward to starting an internship in Nashville.  She is working hard in college and hasn’t let anything distract her from her goal of working in the country music industry.

Carter has just moved to Nashville to run his families record company.  He doesn’t like Nashville, country music or running the record company, but once he meets Kadee, she changes everything in Carter’s life.  There is an immediate chemistry between them and she opens Carter’s eyes to the music world and Nashville.  I like everything about Carter.  Even though he’s wealthy, he’s a down to earth guy.

Paisley Cruz makes the county music scene come to life.   Kadee loves everything about country music and completely immerses herself in it. She is enthusiastic about life and music and it’s exciting to see everything through her eyes.  Carter and Kadee have incredible chemistry together and they each have strengths and weaknesses the other one doesn’t.   Kadee shows Carter the simple things in life and Carter shows her the world of luxury and money.  There are also interesting and fun secondary characters that add another dimension to the story.  This is a light and breezy read with little angst.
