Billionaire playboy? Check. Ruthless businessman? Check. Absolutely sinful? Check.Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A story. A beautiful, difficult man I was supposed to uncover for a racy exposΓ©.I intended to reveal him, his secrets, his lifestyleβ€”not let him reveal me. But my head was overtaken by my heart and suddenly nothing could stop me from falling. I fell for him, and I fell hard. Malcolm Saint is absolute Sin, and I've become a hopeless Sinner. Now that the assignment is over, Saint wants something from me--something unexpected--and I want this wicked playboy's heart. But how can I prove to the man who trusts no one that I’m worthy of becoming his plus one?

Manwhore +1 is the second book in the Manwhore series and you definitely must read them in order. Β In Manwhore, Rachel is a journalist that has been asked to write an expose on the elusive Malcolm Saint. Β Of course, she falls in love with him while fishing for her story. Β At the end of the book, we are left with one heck of a cliffhanger and waiting patiently to see how it all shakes out.She was employed to find the dirt on the Man that EVERYONE wants, yet she didn’t expect to fall hook line and sinker for him . Nor did she expect to loose herself in him in the process. Therefore at the end of Manwhore we’re left on one hell of a Cliffy.

I really enjoyed book #1 but I didn’t love this one as much. Β I felt like Rachel was a bit needy and whiny in this one. Β Yes, she needed to fight to win Malcolm back but while she was in the process, I felt she lost a bit of her spunk and backbone. Β I also felt Malcolm went syrupy sweet in this one. Β His anger seemed to disappear quickly and he was once again enthralled with Rachel. Β Their relationship was hot and I love their interactions but something just felt off in the way they reunited so quickly. Β I would have loved more of the storyline to delve into Malcolm’s relationship with his dad and his dad using Rachel to get to Malcolm.

All in all this is a good series and I give it four cocktails.

About Katy Evans

Katy loves her family and friends, and she also loves reading, walking, baking, and being consumed by her characters until she reaches β€œThe End.” Which is, hopefully, only the beginning…
