four-stars

Is this man: A) a super-hot NFL player, B) the guy you’re sexting, or C) your new boss?

If you’re Carrie Herron, the answer is all of the above. First Carrie starts exchanging steamy text messages with the sexy single dad she meets in line at the grocery store. Then she lands a jobβ€”and a bedroomβ€”as the live-in nanny for the daughter of the Milwaukee Dragons’ newest star. But when Carrie shows up for work and realizes that they’re actually the same guy, she has no choice but to try to keep things professional. After all, Seth Chamberlain is her boss now. Her chiseled, charismatic, oh-so-tempting boss. . . .

After getting traded from Houston to Milwaukee, Seth’s having a tough time keeping his head in the game, let alone setting up his daughter in a brand-new city. So if the only nanny his daughter will tolerate while he’s on the road is the gorgeous, cosplay-loving redhead he’s had his eye on, well, so be it. Surely he can resist Carrie until football season is over. But with her knowing glances and kissable lips driving him wild, Seth must decide whether he’s ready to put everything on the line.

This is the first book I have read by Liz Lincoln and I really enjoyed it. Β It is a charming, fun and flirty, sports romance with a mixture of sweetness, sexiness and laughter. I liked the two main characters and found it easy to relate to them. They are both good, genuine people and they have a lot of sexual chemistry.

Seth, a football player, moves to Milwaukee when he starts playing for the Milwaukee Dragons. He is devoted to his twelve year old daughter, Maddy and is looking for a nanny. Β He wants to do the best he can for Maddy and he is willing to give up anything for her. Seth he is a great dad and a wonderful guy. Maddy is the most important thing to him and I respect him for that. Β Even though Seth loves football, it comes second to Maddy.

Carrie is a geek. She is a laid off seventh grade science teacher looking for a job. Β Since she has no other offers, Carrie agrees to take the job as nanny to Seth’s daughter, Maddy. Carrie immediately hits it off with Maddy and they share a lot of the same interests. Carrie finds herself attracted to Seth’s big muscles and great body. She has to figure out how to adjust from teacher to nanny and also how to stay away from her employer. Carrie has never been a football fan but she loves to watch Seth play.

Seth and Carrie have a lot of fun together and they are always bantering back and forth. They try to stay away from each other but their strong attraction and close contact make it difficult. I love the way Seth treats Carrie and how much he loves his daughter. I thoroughly enjoyed this heartfelt story.
