In life, one choice can lead you in vastly different directions. Penny Anderson is about to discover this for herself, in Penny Candy and Hard Candy. Two parallel stories, two very different endings.

Penny Candy
Coming home to Bandit Creek seemed like a good idea to Penny Anderson, especially after things start to rekindle with her old high school sweetheart and candy store owner, Craig Baxter. But, she can’t forget the other reason why she’s here…To finally discover the truth of her mother’s death so many years ago.

Penny Anderson comes back home to Bandit Creek hoping to find answers to her mother’s death that won’t implicate her dead father.  What she finds instead is her childhood boyfriend and the beginnings of a new relationship.

While the reason for bringing Penny back revolves around her mother’s death, the focal point of the story is Penny and Craig’s relationship.  While both of them initially are skiddish about moving forward from friendship to lovers, they eventually do and that leaves them with more questions about where they go from here.

This was short and sweet, but the ending did leave you hanging wondering what becomes of Penny and Craig.  However, it was still an excellent way to spend an hour.
