Savannah Garrett had always had a good head on her shoulders. She was well-educated and had a fantastic teaching job at a prestigious school in Boston. Her life was just where she wanted it to be until she returned to her home town in the suburbs of Philadelphia for her 10 year class reunion.

Seeing old friends and reminiscing about her high school days was expected. Seeing her first love after five years was not. Can she handle seeing Sam Reynolds after all this time and could she get through the hurt and pain their past relationship had caused?

Can there be a second chance for Savannah and Sam or would a deep, dark secret destroy their chances of happiness?

Reviewer’s Thoughts

I wanted to love this book.  It was cute and had some very funny moments.  But what made me give it a three rating was the lack of Sam’s point of view.  Most of the time, I enjoy the first person point of view, but with Reunion, I think it would have done the book justice to have at least the last few chapters with Sam’s POV.  Why you ask?

Savannah Garrett is returning home for her ten year high school reunion.  The only reason she decided to attend the reunion is because she had it on good authority that her ex-boyfriend, Sam was not going to be there.  But as Savannah enjoys the awesomeness of the reunion, who should walk in…yep, you guessed it, Sam.  What we have next is a series of events spurred by jealousy, lies and heartbreak that makes the reader wonder if Savannah is going to get her happily ever after.  But what happens to throughout the story doesn’t just effect Savannah.  Sam has to deal with the same jealousy, lies and heartbreak.  So while it was nice to see how Savannah dealt with everything, it would have been an added boost having Sam’s POV as well.  It would have set the stage a bit better for the ending of the book.

It was a cute, fast read and makes me oh so happy that I never attended any of my reunions (especially if they went down like this).
