Brotherhood. Club. Family.
They live and ride by their own rules.
These are the Raven Riders . . .
Raven Riders Motorcycle Club President Dare Kenyon rides hard and values loyalty above all else. He’ll do anything to protect the brotherhood of bikers—the only family he’s got—as well as those who can’t defend themselves. So when mistrustful Haven Randall lands on the club’s doorstep scared that she’s being hunted, Dare takes her in, swears to keep her safe, and pushes to learn the secrets overshadowing her pretty smile.
Haven fled from years of abuse at the hands of her criminal father and is suspicious of any man’s promises, including those of the darkly sexy and overwhelmingly intense Ravens’ leader. But as the powerful attraction between them flares to life, Dare pushes her boundaries and tempts her to want things she never thought she could.
The past never dies without a fight, but Dare Kenyon’s never backed down before . . .

This was a fantastic story from beginning to end – definitely, recommend it.
Dare Kenyon is the President of the Raven Riders Motorcycle Club – whose philosophy is to not only to protect his brothers but to help those who can’t help themselves, specifically abused women. Steaming from his own childhood Dare takes this pledge very seriously as do his brothers. By doing this he has made quite a few enemies along the way – but he has also has earned the loyalty of different groups that he has come in contact with. One of those groups is the Hard Ink team that we met in Laura Kaye’s Hard Ink series. It’s because of the relationship with Nick and Hard Ink that Haven Randall comes into his life.
Haven has not had an easy life – her father a notorious mobster has abused Haven for most of her life. When she ran away from home Cora her best friend couldn’t let her go on her own so they ran away together. With a bounty on Haven’s head, she was rescued by the Hard Ink team and sent to the Raven Riders for sanctuary and the possibility of a new life that they can give the 2 girls. What Haven or Dare didn’t realize was their mutual attraction or what lengths Dare would take to protect Haven when her father ups the bounty – even if that means giving her up to keep her safe.
I first have to say I love Laura Kaye’s books and this is right up there with some of her best. The back story she weaves for both Dare and Haven was so thought out I felt that I have known them more than their previous introductions. I love that this story has an edge – lots of suspense and action but it’s not a typical MC story where the MC is doing bad things. I am not saying that the Raven Riders are saints they do dabble in some shady dealings but it’s really a means to an end and at the core of the club is an honor. I loved that the author took that chance. It was great seeing some of our old friends but I am definitely more intrigued with whom she has introduced in the MC and the upcoming stories in this new series.
This is looking to be another great series from a prolific writer who is not afraid to take chances in telling a great story.
