The ride of her life . . . Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.Climb on and hold tight . . . In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever . . .

RIDE STEADY is another intoxicating story by Kristen Ashley. I am a big fan of KA and love everything she writes, so I was excited to read this story.  It is a sexy, sweet, funny romance with just enough suspense to make things interesting. This is the third book in the Chaos series and each of the books revolves around the Chaos motorcycle club.  I was happy to reconnect with some of the characters featured in KA’s other books, too.  I love how all the characters in her books are interconnected and they all pitch in to help whenever there is a problem. This story centers on Carson, now known as Joker and Carissa.  They knew each other in high school and haven’t seen each other in years and over time, a lot has changed for both of them.

The only family Joker has ever known is the Chaos motorcycle club.  He loves motorcycles and cars and is happy with his life working in the garage owned by Chaos.  He doesn’t expect much from life and is still suffering the effects of an abusive childhood.  Joker was a loner in high school and always admired Carissa.  She was popular in high school and he had a secret crush on her, but knew he wasn’t good enough for her.  Now, Joker meets Carissa again and she needs his help.  He is happy to help her, but does not want to get involved with her.  This is a wonderful story about two people who suffer many hard knocks in life, but never let it get them down.  It is fun watching Carissa slowly break down Joker’s walls.  Underneath all that darkness is a sweet, sensitive guy.  Carissa is a breath of fresh air in Joker’s life and he doesn’t think he deserves her, but he does.

I love all the guys in Chaos.  They never fit in anywhere until joining the motorcycle brotherhood and they know the guys in the club will always have their back.  They are tough, scary looking guys, yet they also have a gentle side when dealing with the women in their lives.  They party hard and love to ride their motorcycle and get into fights.  They defend what is theirs and are protective, but not judgmental.  I never thought I would want to be involved in a motorcycle club, but this book made me think it might be fun.  I cared about Joker and Carissa and it was a pleasure to watch them fall in love because they deserve some happiness in their lives.  They have lots of chemistry when they are together and this story had me fascinated from the first page to the last.
