Who says a wild heart can’t be tamed?

For years, I lived for the job and let it control me. Violence was all I knew. I protected, killed, and served. My name is Blake Evans, one of the best undercover cops in the country. I thought I was about to live a quiet life on my ranch in Wyoming until an old friend showed up and changed everything. He brought me her, Hadley Rivers, country music sensation and the one woman I couldn't have. I didn't want her but she had me completely roped in.

My job is to protect her, to keep her away from some psycho who wants her for himself. However, there's more to her story than I was led to believe. I promised to keep her safe and I won't back down . . . even if I have to die trying. I can't let him have her.

ROPED IN is filled with suspense and so many twists and turns I was sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next.  There is a stalker after country singer Hadley Rivers and Blake Evans is asked to protect her.  At first Blake is unhappy he is stuck babysitting a celebrity on his ranch, but over time, his feelings change as he realizes Hadley is easy going and down to earth.  Blake is a sexy, confident cowboy and a former undercover cop.   Women are constantly throwing themselves at Blake and he doesn’t do relationships, but with Hadley, everything is different and he wants more.  Blake is a protective alpha male and not intimidated by Hadley’s stardom and they have great chemistry and lots of steamy sex.

I have to be honest I was torn between Nick and Blake, the two guys who are in love with Hadley.  In the beginning of this story Hadley is having a fake relationship with Nick, a nice guy and hot hockey player.   Nick loves Hadley but she only wants to be friends.  Than a stalker gets too close to Hadley and she goes into protective custody where she meets Blake. Unfortunately, I really liked Nick and it was hard for me to get past that.  I liked Blake, but I liked Nick more and felt bad Hadley didn’t return his feelings.  Maybe Nick will find his HEA in a future book. This is the second book in the Armed and Dangerous series and is a standalone.  L P Dover writes an action packed story filled with tension, hot sex scenes and memorable characters.
