Reviewer’s Thoughts

I thought this book was just okay. I was skipping pages with this one. I thought the two sisters’ opposite behaviors was interesting to watch but it was redundant after a while. It’s always hard to express my thoughts on a book that I couldn’t relate to. Maybe it was the horses’ aspect or maybe it was the estranged relationship between mother and daughters that held me back, but I have to give kudos to the author for her writing and orchestration of the plot. It’s one of those things I can’t pinpoint where the story lost me.

The book was well-written and characters and plot were fully formed but the story itself couldn’t keep me interested. I was hoping, well, I’m not sure what I was hoping for but I wasn’t able to get it from this book. I am not sure if I will be trying this author again but I appreciate and respect the author’s words.
