Recovering from a bruised heart, Jessie Brown takes a break from men and the dating scene with a Valentine’s Day weekend getaway, only to find herself rescued during an unexpected blizzard by a handsome accountant.

Wes Brighton discovers the challenge of starting his own business pales in comparison to hiding his attraction to Jessie. It wouldn’t be so difficult if he hadn’t gotten a glimpse of her in a pair of black lace panties.

Reviewer’s Thoughts

Wes Brighton is not what you would think. Sure he is a successful accountant and wears a tie to any dinner, including family, but he has a lot more heart than you think. After trying every way possible to talk himself into proposing to his longtime girlfriend he can’t seem to find one, so instead he breaks it off and agrees to hang for the weekend with his nephews. Of course, one really big Michigan sized snow storm is enough to bring trouble and a girl that just might be everything he was missing.

Jessie Brown has always loved basketball. You want tickets, no problem, until she finds out that her boyfriend was only with her for that reason. All she wants to do is get away for the weekend and away from men. Fortunately, for her, the snow storm had other ideas. After nearly being run of the road, springing her ankle, and a bump on the head, she is suddenly surrounded by them. A 6 year old, a 12 year old, a 16 year old, and one really gorgeous uncle she cannot stop thinking about.

One little peak of black lace and Wes was a goner. Now he is stuck in the middle of nowhere with a woman he cannot quit thinking about; but does she feel the same way? Naturally, Jessie cannot help admiring her rescuer, who wouldn’t but a man in her life is out of the question right now….or is it. These two characters play very well off of each other. One compliments the other but not to the point of perfection, just to the point of being believable.

I really enjoyed the simplicity of this book. The author was able to keep the mood light with some slightly steamy moments in all the right places. It was a book full of heart and you cannot help but fall in love with all four of these men. I will be reading this one again, I am sure.
