What a delightful little story! Doris O’Connor never disappoints me. Every book she writes steals a piece of my heart…whether it’s MF, MFM, MMF, or MM. Her characters are always engrossing, and they make you want to know them better with every page. They’re strong, and sweet, and always sexy.
With “Sunshine and Love”, we have Aaron. He’s a single dad to an adorable baby girl named Sunshine. The baby’s mother has died, and he’s on his own. He runs a company, and he’s having a difficult time balancing his time. He’s also gay (Sunshine’s Mommy was Aaron’s best friend.). He needs a nanny, and the sooner, the better. Thanks to Sunshine’s aunt, Jordan comes to interview for the position, surprising Aaron because he’d not realized that Jordan was a man. However, Sunsine takes to Jordan immediately, and it’s obvious that Jordan is just as taken with her. I guess I should mention that Jordan is gay as well…and a bit on the submissive side.
It all takes off from there. Aaron and Jordan are instantly attracted to one another, and there is quite a bit of sexual tension between them. Aaron is afraid to act, but Jordan falls in love and wants to be a family. Their relationship develops quickly, but that’s just fine. The book isn’t very long, so it has to happen that way. It didn’t feel rushed to me, though. Sometimes, it’s obvious that you’ve met THE ONE, even if it’s damn near instant. Jordan is pretty laid back and balances Aaron’s type A personality. Their chemistry is hot, and when they finally come together, the sex is intense! Aaron is a Dom and recognizes that Jordan is the perfect sub for him. It’s all just perfect.
I loved “Sunshine and Love”. It was a wonderful way to spend an evening, and my heart felt full when I hit the end. I highly recommend you pick this one up. Gay or straight, love is love, and this story is full of that.
