Reviewer’s Thoughts:

If I had known hot gods roamed the streets of Toronto I would have moved there years ago! Dionysus, god of love (not the big one, but one of) is more known for his excess. Dionysus lives a life of many excesses, excess of love, excess of wine and most certainly excess of sex. So how does he handle finally meeting the one woman who affects him like no other woman ever has? He buys her coffee. No, he doesn’t buy her coffee; he buys her coffee. Coffee made to his exacting demands, every morning, for months. It was refreshing watching how clueless he was at actually going after a woman he truly cared about instead of the many interchangeable women who frequented his bed. It was very reminiscent of children with their first crush. Except instead of pulling Josie’s hair, Dionysus told her she had poor personal hygiene! Talk about awkward.

Josie, an Italian bakery shop worker, works in the family bakery run by her brothers. She spends more time elbow deep in dough than she does on brushing her hair. Yet there is something about her that intrigues our god of wine. And what’s Josie’s reaction to her newest pain in the rear persistent customer? He’s hot and he knows it, she could so does not need the aggravation in her life, no matter hot much she’d like to jump his bones.

Watching these two maneuver around their growing attraction for each other, I found myself laughing at the oddest of times. With characters so hilariously funny you’ll find it hard to put this book down, Sweet Hell is a must not miss.
