Reviewer’s Thoughts

Megan Young, veterinarian in Raven Cove that has been in love with Adam Waters since college.

Adam Waters is the sexy ex-Marine that has come back to Raven Cove to sell his family home and severe all ties to this town.

Megan is running her life the best she can while raising her son Cole only to have Adam thrown back in to the mix when she least expected. One night he shows up with a dog that was hit and left on the side of the road in the hopes that Megan can help. The chemistry between them is just as strong as it was in college and Adam is determined to spend time with Megan while he is in town. Megan in the mean time has a different plan, avoid him as much as she can.

After giving in and agreeing to see each other but on her terms things start to get pretty heated and secrets come to light. Adam learns that Cole is not some guy Megan is seeing but actually his son that she did not bother to tell him about. Angry with her and not wanting to be a father, the plan is to provide, protect and the leave. All this changes when Megan starts being framed so that  her career is turned upside down.

We learn what it is that Adam is really hiding and why he does nothing but run when feelings come into play. Adam keeps his word and protects his son and Megan, with the price of his heart. This book was a very good read and I would pick it up again. Highly recommend for anyone that wants steamy love scene and lots of mystery.
