Jackson Pierce didn’t make his fortune entertaining every half-cocked idea, especially one involving diaper changes. Not even the cute brunette who links him to the baby in her arms can crack his icy heart.
A baby on the doorstep is the least of Hannah Woods’s problems—she has to find the baby’s uncle, or the child will end up in foster care. She sleuths her way to the reclusive CEO’s doorstep only to find six feet of holiday sexy—and a door slammed in her face. But when Jackson comes around and urges they marry for little Emily’s sake, Hannah finds herself falling for the jaded billionaire and wishing for a holiday miracle of their own…

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

This was a sweet Christmas story.  Baby abandoned at a church with a note asking that her brother be found to take care of the baby.  The social worker who finds the baby willing to break all the rules to ensure the baby doesn’t fall through the cracks, but instead ends up with family.  It’s very heartwarming and makes you wish that all children in these situations could have this kind of happy ending.

Hannah Woods finds baby Emily on the steps of a church as she leaves one night after a counseling session.  When she finds the note asking her to take Emily to her uncle, Hannah is determined to make sure Emily ends up with a family member and not in the system.  She didn’t count on her uncle being billionaire software company CEO Jackson Pierce.

Every year, Jackson hides out in his mountain cabin so he doesn’t have to deal with Christmas cheer and reminders of the family he wishes to forget.  But when Hannah shows up on his doorstep in the middle of a blizzard, with a baby in tow, he’s forced to offer his cabin until the storm is over.  When he finds out the baby is actually his niece, he tries to run from the family obligation.  But he more he’s with Hannah, the more he discovers that maybe it’s time to re-evaluate his jaded attitude towards family.

Hannah and Jackson were on opposite ends of the spectrum when it came to family and Christmas.  Hannah is a bit pushy when it comes to her wishes for baby Emily and Jackson, wanting nothing to do with any of his family, pushes right back.  Jackson, for all his blustering, was the one to crack first, because he really did want the same thing Hannah wanted, he was just too afraid of having it taken away and being hurt again.

Both Hannah and Jackson had to figure out how to fight for what they wanted, which ultimately was a family and to be loved.  When they did though, it was better than either could expect.
