Reviewer’s Thoughts

Picking up where the cliffhanger in Part 2 left off, we get a look at how the Parisians like to party BDSM style. I was thoroughly scandalized after reading the first part of the book. There are many acts in this part of the serial that may not be comfortable for some readers including voyeurism, orgies, same sex pairings and some very graphic sex scenes.

The sex scenes weren’t what I loved about the book, although sensually titillating, but still not my favorite part. I really enjoyed watching Sevastyan’s vulnerability as he finally confesses some of his past to Natalie. His pain is not that of the billionaire-hooked-on-BDSM troupe that is so popular now, yet redundant. Sevastyan also has a surprising reason for his predilections of the BDSM lifestyle which I found quite refreshing.

I was surprised when the author glossed over the funeral scene in the epilogue. I also felt intrigued by other characters in the serial and would love to see more books/novellas in this world of The Professional.

I really enjoyed Part 3 as well as the entire serial. Kresley Cole is a favorite author of mine and she completely knocked this one out of the park.
