Former Olympian turned physical therapist to the elite Julia Bailey knows all about pushing the limits. But when a sexual harassment suit costs her a dream job—not to mention her reputation—she takes on the biggest risk of her life. Rehabilitating the X Games’ most notorious bad boy might be just what she needs to secure the funds for her own treatment center. Problem is, the only kind of recovery her new client is interested in is under-the-covers freestyle—gear optional.

Daredevil snowboarder Noah Hunt is a rock star—on and off the slopes. A recent accident might have him down, but he’s far from out. He doesn’t care what the sexy therapist with the sweet curves says. He’s got sponsors to impress and trophies to collect, and taking things slow and steady just ain’t his style. A little dirty talk and a sizzling night later, Julia learns just how fast and hard he likes to play. Too bad for him, his heart goes all in, and one wrong move could cost him more than just his career.

It’s always exciting to discover a new book series and Skye Jordan’s first book in the Xtreme Heroes series grabbed me on the first page and held me spellbound until the last.  The story is captivating and the characters have depth and are easy to connect with and there are also interesting secondary characters.  The story centers on physical therapist, Julia Bailey and world famous snowboarder Drake Mitchell.  Julia is asked to help Drake with his rehabilitation.  Her career depends on getting him healthy again and back on the slopes, only Drake thinks he can rehab himself.  Sparks fly from the moment these two meet however, they each have different opinions on Drake’s recovery process.  Drake is frustrated and scared and doesn’t understand why it is taking him so long to heal and he is stubborn and fights Julia’s advice.  He wants his life back and he is also worried about losing his lucrative endorsements.

Julia is feisty and doesn’t let Drake get away with anything.  Drake is cocky and used to everyone catering to his every need and doesn’t know how to deal with Julia.  She speaks her mind, without sugarcoating anything and she expects Drake to follow her advice or she won’t work with him.  Drake has never met anyone like Julia before and he is spellbound. She is the total opposite of the women he is usually attracted to; she doesn’t care about his wealth and status, she is there to help him heal.  Drake isn’t used to chasing a woman, they chase him, but everything is different with Julia.  All Julia wants is to help him get better and move on and she tries to fight her feelings for Drake. Drake wants Julia in his bed and Julia thinks it’s unprofessional to get involved with her clients. Their chemistry is combustible, even though they disagree on just about everything. Drake is easy to like; he is a nice guy, he treats Julia well and lets her know he cares about her.  He is also open and shares his past with Julia.  Julia, on the other hand, doesn’t feel comfortable sharing with Drake and keeps things to herself.  I have read and enjoyed Skye Jordan’s Renegade series, but this new series is a delightful surprise and I can’t wait to read the next book in the Xtreme series.
