Posted May 5, 2013 by Shannon in Reviews / 0 Comments

Ella and Micha have been best friends since they were kids. But one tragic night shatters their friendship and their lives forever.

Ella used to be a rule-breaker with fiery attitude who wore her heart on her sleeve. But she left everything behind when she went to college and transformed into someone that follows the rules, keeps everything together, and hides all her problems. But now it’s summer break and she has nowhere else to go but home.

Ella fears everything she worked so hard to bury might resurface, especially with Micha living right next door. If Micha tries to tempt the old her back, she knows that it will be hard to resist.

Micha is sexy, smart, confident, and can get under Ella’s skin like no one else can. He knows everything about her, including her darkest secrets. And he’s determined to bring his best friend, and the girl he loves back, no matter what it takes.

Reviewer’s Thoughts

Micha’s whole world seemed to revolve around his friendship with Ella but that all changed after one night. Now with his best friend gone he has nothing but determination to get her back, even if that means getting under her skin.

Ella left is all behind. After that one night things were never the same and all she wanted was to run away from it all. Now with the summer here and nowhere else to turn, she is homebound and already losing a grip on her mile high wall. It is only a matter of time before Micha breaks through and then what. This will be the hardest trip for Ella since that fateful night but with her best friend there is no stopping it.

Both characters are stuck in some sort of internal battle. Micha can’t seem to forget his best friend and the fact that he is madly in love with her and Ella’s fight or flight instincts are going of the charts.

I really enjoyed reading this book, WOW, yes that much. I think my favorite thing is watching Ella’s character transform throughout the book. From one form to another she definitely keeps you on your toes and of course Micha is oh so amazing. My favorite thing with this character is the fact that his feelings didn’t fade and he is determined to get her back home where she belongs. Overall an amazing book.
