Can the best of enemies become the hottest of lovers? New York Times bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds proves that opposites can be compatible—and twice as combustible…

Libby Reed is over it. Or that’s what she tells herself. She’s lusted after one of New York’s bravest for years, but firefighter Antonio Moretti has doused her interest for the last time. As much as she wants the arrogant jerk (in a bad, bad way), they can’t even be in the same room without setting each other off…which might be a problem now that she’s volunteered to help out in his family’s restaurant.

Antonio’s been burned before. Now he knows better than to trust a pretty face and follow another pair of long, beautiful legs into heartbreak. But while Libby might rub him the wrong way, he can’t deny the heat between them. And it only burns hotter when she steps up in his time of need. The closer they get, the more he realizes he may have misjudged her. Then again, he doesn’t know the secret Libby’s keeping that could send their relationship up in flames before it’s even begun.

Cocktails and Books received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect our opinion of the book or the content of our review.

I love everything Aurora Rose Reynolds writes and she has become one of my favorite authors. She knows how to write the perfect story filled with a protective alpha male, a strong female and colorful secondary characters. This is a heartwarming enemies to lovers story and it is the third book in the Fluke My Life series.

Antonio is a firefighter but when his father has a heart attack, Antonio pitches in to help run the family pizzeria. I love the way Antonio is portrayed in this story.  He is a big, tough, protective alpha male with a growly voice. He has always kept his distance from Libby but once he realizes she is not the woman he thought she was, he puts everything he has into wooing her.

Libby works hard as a makeup artist and assistant manager at a salon.  For years she has had a close relationship with Antonia’s parents and she immediately volunteers to help out at their pizzeria when Antonio’s father becomes ill.  As Libby and Antonio work closely together, Antonio realizes Libby is a sweet, kind and hardworking person. Libby has had a crush on Antonio for years but he has always made it clear he has no interest in her. Libby has never understood why Antonio has always been such a jerk to her and she finds it impossible to resist him when he turns on the charm.

Antonia goes through some changes in this story.  He has made assumptions about Libby which he realizes are wrong.  He has always been attracted to her but has been afraid to make a move.  I loved the way Antonio goes after Libby and doesn’t let anything get in his way.  He knows he made mistakes with Libby and he tries to make amends. Libby never has a chance once Antonio decides he wants her.  I loved these two together and all their arguing and bantering. This is another enchanting story by Aurora Rose Reynolds. I loved this sweet and sexy story.
