Reviewer’s Thoughts

Typically, I’ll read anything. If it’s a book, bring it on, I’ll read it. So when I had the opportunity to try out an erotic short story that featured a F/F relationship, I said, sure why not?

This story starts out with Lori – a timid and insecure woman who has had a huge crush on one of her co-workers for quite some time, and who just happens to be a woman. As the story begins, you’re reading the scenario from Lori’s point of view during a harmless evening of board game play with her friends and co-workers. But when her crush, Jenna, gets too close to Lori during one of the games, Lori’s attraction to Jenna becomes extremely obvious. Jenna, a forceful yet determined girl, always gets what she wants, and when she knows Lori wants her, Jenna won’t stop until she has her.

When I began reading this book, I thought the story was kind of cheesy. It played out almost like a juvenile crush you’d have in junior high or high school, with drama filled banter between Lori and her friends and Jenna being portrayed as the head cheerleader type. But as the story went on, it became more fun watching Jenna tease Lori until Lori finally built up the courage to let her feelings for Jenna known. My only REAL issue with the story is that it’s advertised as an β€œerotic short,” yet there is nothing erotic about it. While Jenna makes a few innuendos towards Lori, it’s nothing graphic or steamy enough to warrant the β€œerotic” label.
