Includes the brand new Dark Protectors novella, 'Talen'!
Simone Brightston knows she can beat the rap her enemies are pinning on her. An Irish witch is nobody's fool, and she didn't get to her position on the high council without serious power. But her cousins want her to hide outβ€”and they somehow convinced her arch nemesis to play getaway driver.
Of all the men she's known, Nikolaj Veis is the hardest to intimidate. With his demon-dark eyes and his inscrutable beauty, he's as desirable as he is dangerous. And he knows better than to underestimate Simone. So when he pulls up on a roaring bike and tells her to climb on or fight it out, she grabs a handful of jacket and holds on tight. Running from the law may not be the smartest plan. But when it comes to Nick, hot pursuit and a blazing fast ride are exactly what Simone's looking for . . .

Three words.

Β Nick and Simone!

The Apollo drug is still out there and even more dangerous to our beloved witches of the Realm. And someone is trying to frame Simone for all of it. Now her life is in danger. Her family stand by her and Nick will do anything to protect his little bunny. Even if it means starting another war.

Wicked Burn is sensational. Wickedly new characters that you will love and want more from.

Finally, we get the story of how The Demon (Nick) broke the heart of the witch (Simone).Β  When we first met Simone in the Dark Protectors series she wasn’t someone you would root for.Β  She was cousin to Moira, a dark protector (Conn) mate. She came off as snobbish and just a stuck-up piece of work. But somewhere along the line and many books later we get to see who Simone really is and I wanted to know more. What really happened to her and Nick? Just the little pieces that we were getting left more intrigued.

The prologue broke my heart for Nick and Simone. You could already feel the love that he had for his little bunny. But Fate had other plans for Nick. Plans that could not include Simone so he left her broken hearted and spiteful. But beneath all the spitefulness Nick and only those close to her saw who she really was. She was Simone Brightston a member of the Coven Nine. She takes her job and love for her family seriously. And she was not going to fall for Nick again.

The book was fast paced and before I knew it I was done. But there was a little surprise novella at the end. TALEN! A novella featuring Talen and Cara from the Dark Protectors. That alone was worth the wait for Nick and Simone’s story.
