Cain Bonham is as big and bad as they come. After serving in the Marines, he’s returned home to Wyoming and now works as head of security at the exclusive sex club, The Wicked Horse. His job is to protect not only the patrons, but to zealously guard the secret existence of the club itself.
Sloane Preston is all about discovering secrets. As an undercover reporter, she’s determined to reveal the truth behind the facade of The Wicked Horse and expose it for all the world to see. She just didn’t count on her pathway into the club coming at the hands of one gorgeously scarred and bad ass bouncer who manages to easily possess her body and soul.
While Cain’s not looking for anyone to catch his eye, Sloane did it all the same, and he’s not bemoaning the fact that she’s as wickedly kinky as he is. As both get caught up in the sinful fantasies that only The Wicked Horse can create, secrets and loyalties will be tested and hearts will risk being broken.
**Warning: this book has sex in it. Lots of sex. Dirty sex. The Wicked Horse Series is a bit different than what Sawyer Bennett normally writes. While you’ll still enjoy fabulous characters, a suspenseful story, some witty banter and an epic romance, there’s just… a lot of sex. You’ve been warned.

The more I read Sawyer Brown the more I love her writing style and to me it keeps getting better and better with every book I read.Β  Wicked Lust the second book in the The Wicked Horse series has it all, sexual exploration, love, laughter, tears, oh and did I mention a lot of great sex – a nice mix for everyone.

Sloane Preston moves to Wicked Falls looking for a story – specifically a political story involving the governor of Wyoming and The Silo a sex club.Β  Sloane is a reporter for a political newspaper out of Washington DC and she is looking to hold politicians accountable for their actions.Β  Sloane has had first hand experience with politicians thinking they can do no wrong and wants to change that.

Cain Bonham is head of security for both The Silo and the Wicked Horse bar which is were he was working when he first spots Sloane for the first time.Β  He also is part of the fantasy detail at The Silo so he is hired to performer sex acts with the clubs members, in fact that is how we are first introduced to him at the end of Wicked Fall.Β  A former Marine who is now home after 2 tours he is loyal to his friends and family and is not what you think he is as Sloan starts to find out.Β  As they get to know each other they realize that what they originally thought about each other is not what it seems and their feelings grow deep in a very short amount of time.Β  Both Sloane and Cain are hiding secrets that could ultimately tear them apart unless they can learn to trust each other.

The story is told in dual POV which I love – Sawyer Bennett has a very clear voice for both Sloane and Cain.Β  You learn more about the secondary charcters who you met in the first book and there is even a glimpse of Woolf and Callie from book 1 as well.Β Β  The author does a great job balancing the sex scenes and keeping the story moving forward – which I appreciate.Β  I have read books in the past where these types of scenes can be shocking just to add shock value but Sawyer is careful never to go over that line which is why I enjoy her writing so much.Β  The dialog between the characters is witty and honest and doesn’t go over the top – another reason to love Sawyer Brown.

As you can see I highly recommend this as a continuation of the Wicked Horse series but this can also be read as a standalone within the series.Β  The epilogue gives you a glimpse of what book 3 is going to be about and I cant wait.
