About Kim Karr

I live in Florida with my husband and four kids. I've always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, I wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. I went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise my family. I currently work part-time with my husband and full-time embracing one of my biggest passions—writing.

How did you discover Kim Karr?

It was pretty random. I was going through some old ebooks that I hadn’t had a chance to read and saw the cover of Connected the first book of the Connected series. Started reading it and was hooked after the first page – so much so that I finished the book and went back and reread it before moving on to the rest of the series (4 full novels and 2 novella’s) and I have not reread a book immediately after since.

What is it about this author and their books that have your coming back for more?

Kim Karr has a way of drawing you into her characters that makes you both laugh out loud as well as cry when you feel their heartache. I also found that I believed the circumstances that brought River and Dahlia (main characters of Connected and Torn book 2) together and because you buy into it – it helps draw you into Kim Karr’s other books. You trust her writing. That is what happened to me. When I read The 27 Club, my first book of her’s outside the Torn series I loved it just as much as I did the first books I read.

What’s your favorite book of Kim Karr’s?  Why?

Its Connected. I feel in love with River and Dahlia and their story. From their chance meeting to the circumstances that bring them together years later (its funny) I just couldn’t get enough of their story and was so happy when I found the second book and then come to find out there was entire series, The great thing is that she made the secondary characters so fun and interesting that I couldn’t wait to go back to find out what happens to their friends and family. If the first book didn’t work then the rest don’t matter.
