cowboys for christmasJulie Kensworth opens her door to more than a blizzard and greets two wayward cowboys. She realizes right away she’s headed straight for the eye of the storm.  Brandon Blake and Quinn Stewart are a long way from home. They’re looking for a warm place to hang their hats while they try to wait out the snow and ice, which continues to gain momentum.

Julie is an author and she’s not just the average writer, she’s one of the most notorious writers in the world. When Quinn and Blake figure out Julie is an erotic romance author, well, needless to say, their minds churn with all sorts of ideas, most of them geared toward how they can heat up the cold winter nights ahead.

Reviewer’s Thoughts

Julie lives in a small place in Tennesee.  Just her and her dog, it’s private and out of the way, which is good because she’s an author, and she’s concentrating on writing her next book.  One morning, she wakes up to discover that the weatherman was completely wrong, and a huge blizzard was dropping huge amounts of snow and ice all over her little corner of the world.  Soon, there is a knock at her door, and the fun begins 🙂

Brandon and Quinn are a couple of cowboys who thought that they were on a drive to buy some bulls for their ranch, but they wind up stuck in this mess of snow.  Literally stuck.  Their truck winds up in an embankment by a bridge, and they have to find a place to get out of the weather before they freeze.

If you’ve ever read one of my reviews, you know that I don’t give away spoilers.  I will tell you that, along with the obvious romantic trappings of the book, there is a very nice, underlying story as well.  In fact, I found myself wishing that “Cowboys for Christmas” was a little longer so that it could be explored further.  The characters have a great chemistry.  It’s instant, and it’s pretty sexy.  The guys are very charming, and Julie’s not a pushover, but she does seem to have a soft spot for cowboys.  This is a menage book, so there are scenes where both men are with Julie, but they don’t touch each other (Damn!) and focus all of their attention on the very lucky lady.

“Cowboys for Christmas” was a very nice little distraction from a long, tough day.  I wouldn’t really consider it a full book, more like a short story.  I read it in a little over an hour’s time, and it made me smile.  I would definitely recommend this story.  It was fun and sweet, and I really enjoyed it.
