I jumped at the chance to read this Hot in Chicago series novella. I loved Gage and I wanted Brody to love him as much as I do. The road for these two isn’t easy, but Kate Meader does a fantastic job of proving just how much they are made for each other.
Gage is his usually full of life self, but we get a glimpse at Gage’s past and see just how “unsunny” his life was before the Dempseys took him in. He may not have had the best beginning to his life, but he learned he was lovable, no matter what he was. Unfortunately, this wasn’t something Brady thought of himself. That made things a bit difficult for this couple, even with Gage breaking through a lot of the rules and barriers that Brady put in his way. But Brady had to figure out what he wanted: to live his life as he’d been or to try love himself, love someone else and be loved back. It really wasn’t that hard of a decision, but it made you appreciate the leap of faith Brady made to finally go after what he wanted.
Another excellent entry into the Hot in Chicago series. I can’t wait for Alex and Eli. I’m sure that will be just as smoking hot!
