Can the billionaire son of a Democratic president build a family with the congressman son of a Republican senator? Forget politics, love makes strange bedfellows.

As the sole offspring of the Democratic United States president and his political operative wife, Trevor Moga was raised in an environment driven by the election cycle. During childhood, he fantasized about living in a made-for-television family, and as an adult, he rejected all things politics and built a highly successful career as far from his parents as possible.

Newly elected congressman Ford Hollingsworth is Republican royalty. The grandson of a revered governor and son of a respected senator, he was bred to value faith, family, and the goal of seeing a Hollingsworth in the White House.

When Trevor and Ford meet, sparks fly and a strong friendship is formed. But can the billionaire son of a Democratic president build a family with the congressman son of a Republican senator? Forget politics, love makes strange bedfellows.

I love, love, loved this book!!  I’ve been binge reading Cardeno C. because the writing is just perfect for me.  It flows from scene to scene without jumping around.  Individual POV’s aren’t jarring, the characters are interesting and likable, and the sex is off the charts.

“Strange Bedfellows” is a great example of all this.  We have Trevor, the out and proud son of the current Deomocratic president.  He meets and brings home Ford.  Ford is a new Republican congressman who is VERY far in the back of the closet and isn’t interested in coming out any time soon.  They have an incredibly hot night together.  Trevor knows exactly who Ford is, and at first, Ford thinks it’s all a trick to discredit him.  Not true.  Trevor really likes him.  Ford likes Trevor too, but he’s afraid that he’ll be a disappointment to his constituents and his family.  They’re very religious, and they consider homosexuality a sin.

What I enjoyed most about this book is that there was a nice buildup throughout.  The road to the inevitable HEA was slow.  There were struggles personally and politically, and when the families got involved, it got even more interesting.  I thought that the little twist was cool.  I learned a little bit about how politics work, and also rules about campaign contributions.  It’s obvoious that these topics were researched well by the author.

I would be remiss if I didn’t talk about the sex just a little bit.  Oh my goodness!  It was so, so hot!  All of Cardeno C’s books are sexy, but this one really got to me.  My fingers were burning because my Kindle was about ready to melt.  Ford was a bit timid at first, but Trevor is patient and leads him to realize what love and passion are supposed to be like.  Beautiful.  Just beautiful.

I want every MM fan out there to read this book.  In fact, I want all erotic romance readers to give this one a go because, at its heart, it’s a love story, not just a gay story.
