23203583Annaliese Harper knows that one tiny mistake can jeopardize a career before it’s even begun. Letting your boss find the extensive collection of porn on your personal laptop is one way. Sleeping with him is another. Liese manages to do both.

As the new librarian at a prestigious small-town private high school, Liese is drawn to her sexy, charismatic principal, Ryder Whitehallβ€”an attraction she refuses to acknowledge given their relationship and her recent liberation from a delusional ex-boyfriend.

Liese is certain Ryder’s flirtation is the product of her sex-deprived imaginationβ€”until he discovers her digital porn stash during working hours and demands a private meeting. Behind closed doors, their attraction explodes into a dangerous, passionate affair that not only threatens their jobs and reputations, but most of all, their hearts.

Reviewer’s Thoughts

When the book started, the chemistry between Annalieseβ€”Lieseβ€”and Ryder was tangible but because of their jobs, they had to ignore it…that is until Ryder was treated to an eyeful of porn on Liese’s personal computer during school hours!

What ensued was a sexy love affair that had to be hidden in order to protect themselves and their jobs from the strict non-fraternization policy in the school district. As Liese and Ryder stumble through their forbidden relationship, they find something more special than either of them could have imagined…love.

The premise of this book is what prompted me to immediately pick it up. I loved the idea of a naughty librarian getting disciplined by the principal and while I was partially right in my assumption, Ryder and Liese’s relationship was much more than physical.

Liese is a great character and I loved that the book was told from her point of view but I would have loved a sneak peek into Ryder’s thoughts as well. I think that would have given the story more depth, but I also love that while his thoughts were a mystery, he was very expressive with his feelings. I loved the times we got to see his vulnerability. Yes, he is a controlled and domineering principal, but there is a soft side to him that he shares with Liese that I found completely endearing.

I really enjoyed this story! THE LIBRARIAN PRINCIPLE is funny, sexy and heartfelt.
