Anyone he loves is a liability, and being involved with him puts the other person in grave danger. Yet Ivy is someone his heart can’t resist. When an enemy from Devon’s past returns, the spy and his girlfriend are thrown headlong into an international conspiracy that puts everyone Ivy loves at risk. From the Missouri River bottoms to the brothels of Amsterdam, Ivy and Devon must outrun and outmaneuver the forces allied against them, and no one can be trusted.

Candace’s Thoughts

Tiffany Snow knows how to write romantic suspense and The Tangled Ivy Trilogy gives me everything I need.  I actually enjoyed Shadow of a Doubt more than the first book in the series.  This is highly unusual for me.  I enjoyed the plots twist and turns.  It is crazy what Ms. Snow puts these characters through.  It is pretty much the same as watching a Daniel Craig Bond movie and I truly love the action and suspense.  However, what really tugged me into this book was the character development of both Ivy and Devon.  The more we see of each of them, the more that is revealed about their pasts, and the more they begin to care for each other is what truly drawed me into this book.

It was hard not to love Devon in this book.  He drops his guard and you really start to see more of his inner thoughts. Not to mention that his a super sexy, British spy and who wouldn’t want a bit of that in their lives.  Ivy is a tough cookie although she looks like a waify model.  She isn’t afraid to go after what she wants and she trusts her instincts thoughout this book.  One of the most important characteristics of a good heroine for me is that she doesn’t just sit and look pretty.  Tiffany Snow’s heroines are anything but pretty china dolls.  They are not afraid to get in the fray and usually start part of the ruckus.  Devon and Ivy’s relationship blooms but not without its difficulties that had me sucking in and holding my breath.  The ending absolutely killed me….I love this and Tiffany is truly the best at it…I would have started the final book in the trilogy if I had it in my hand!
