RISK IT is an intriguing, sexy story about two people from opposite back grounds who meet and discover they are kindred spirits. Rand is a rich and powerful businessman and he is intrigued by Dani from the moment he meets her. Rand enjoys a lavish lifestyle and women are attracted to his good looks and wealth. He has no desire for a relationship. Why would he when women are constantly throwing themselves at him. But Dani is different from all the other women he meets and once she sparks an interest in him, he can’t get enough of her. From the moment Rand and Dani meet, they recognize something in each other. They each have darkness and scars from their past. They enjoy adrenaline rushes and risk taking and neither one them wants to be the first to back down.
Dani is a small time con artist who grew up in foster homes, she doesn’t have a college education, works at a variety of different jobs and the only thing she is successful at is reading and conning people. Although she is intimated by Rand’s wealth, she never lets it show. She hides her insecurities behind a tough exterior. She is independent and strong and has been through a lot in her life. Through all her hardship, Dani still has a kind heart and she will do whatever it takes to help her brother.
This is the fourth book in the Rule Breakers series and each one is a stand-alone. This is an interesting story but, I found it hard to warm up to Rand and Dani and I didn’t understand their motives. Rand keeps many things hidden beneath his playboy exterior and I found it even harder to understand what his game was. This story is unpredictable and I was never sure what was going to happen next and the end felt abrupt. Rand and Dani play off of each other and neither of them wants to give in to the other. Their sexual relationship is off the charts and filled with steam.
