It’s going to be a wild ride…
Lady Alexandra Summersby is not your average society miss. Not only is she more likely to climb a tree than she is to wear a dress, but she has also sworn off marriage. Alex loves taking chances, which is how she finds herself embroiled in a secret mission as she races across the country with the Earl of Trenton. But Alexandra is about to discover that the real danger lies not in duels, but in her completely unexpected reaction to Lord Trenton’s company.
Michael Ashford, Earl of Trenton, is a man of duty. Honorable, charming, and a hit with the ladies, he’s never had trouble staying focused—until now. Lady Alexandra is like no other woman he’s ever met, and suddenly the prospect of marriage seems far more appealing. Now, to convince Alexandra that a life together could be an adventure like no other

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Alex a headstrong woman who dose not conform to society standers of what a lady of rank should be.
Michael, goes all can for his country serving as a spy.
Alex and her brother Ryan end going to France with  Michael who is sent to bring back their brother William is suspected of treason. Alex and Ryan, both set to try to prove their brother’s innocence. Alex at first dresses as a man in the first part of the journey, knowing that Michael would not let her come with on the journey if he knows she is woman. When Michael dose find out he feels that she will in danger the mission. And Alex sets out to prove that she is helpful to mission.
I enjoyed the relationships between all the characters. The relationship between Alex and Micheal is quite interesting. I really enjoyed how Micheal was the first one to realize his feelings and accept them, while Alex tried to hide from them. The romance between the two was sweet and slow going mostly do to Alex being afraid.
I really enjoyed the how Alex was a different type heroine then what is usual type for this genre. I also hope the rest of the series goes in the same direction!!
I give Lady Alexandra’s Excellent Adventure five cocktails.
