A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW

If you ever had anyone sneer at you when you say you read romance novels, this is a book you should whip out and start quoting from.

Sarah Wendell, Smart Bitch Sarah from Smart Bitches, Trashy Books web site, walks us through how romance novels teach us lessons in how an alpha man makes the greatest catch, how to respect ourselves as women and how an awesome sex scene in a romance novel can lead to a steamy love life of your own.

Through snippets from several popular romance books, interviews with authors and comments from readers, we find out what makes the best alpha man (hint, hint: his body does not make the list), who the top 9 romance heroes are (I agree with #8 and #2) and some of rules authors use when creating those heroes (both male and female) that we love so much.

It was an interesting and quick read that had me smiling as the author walked us through the complexities of a romance novel and how authors (and readers) can really solve many problems through what we read through the pages of our beloved books.

I am a lover of alpha males with dirty mouths, strong heroines putting alpha males in their place, and the Chicago Blackhawks. I'm a proud hockey mom who can often be found at the hockey rink cheering on my favorite forward, with my kindle close by.
