Reviewer’s Thoughts

I love Dragon shifter books, and this one was definitely different.  I had a hard time getting into the book in the beginning but the further I read into it the more I liked it.  The plot and the storyline was a little different than what I am used to but in the end it was a very entertaining book with some twists thrown in along the way that I was not expecting at all.

Greylan is the King of the Dragons and a bit of an arrogant ass if you want my opinion, he is completely alpha most of the time, but there are glimpses of a kind protective and loving man in that Dragon King.  He shouts out orders all of the time, at first I found it annoying but then I thought it was just funny because when he met Raven he met his match.  She doesn’t put up with any of his crap and I loved that about her.  They were made for each other, that was apparent, she was the only one that could stand up to him and put him in his place.  They both had their vulnerabilities and they were very apparent at times.  The bedroom scenes were hot, hot, hot and they definitely had some serious passion and chemistry in that department.

I loved some of the other characters and truly hated some of them as well.  I will never think of fairies and angels the same way ever again!   I love a book with a really great villain and this story had one in spades.  There was action, lots of humor, some mystery and of course lots of passion and romance, it was an interesting journey along the way though as the couple had to work really hard and there was a lot of give and take to make everything work.  I would absolutely recommend this book, give it a chance at the beginning and it will be worth the read in the end.

I am a lover of alpha males with dirty mouths, strong heroines putting alpha males in their place, and the Chicago Blackhawks. I'm a proud hockey mom who can often be found at the hockey rink cheering on my favorite forward, with my kindle close by.
