Jolie Marsden has always been one of the boys. If only her best friend Palmer Fontaine realized that she’s dying to show him she’s all woman.

Good guy Palmer doesn’t want to jeopardize their friendship by making a move that Jolie might not welcome. But now, thanks to a little voodoo and a dash of Mardi Gras Magic, he can hear Jolie’s every naughty thought and sets out to make her steamy fantasies an orgasm-inducing reality.

Yet he can’t help but wonder whether the magic will linger when the carnival is over.

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

I love a good best friend story where they realize their feelings are more than just being friends and have to get nudged to take it further.  In the case of Jolie and Palmer, it’s a voodoo palm reader who pushes them both into the relationship they both want.

Of course, Palmer’s run in with the palm reader happens just as Mardi Gras is in full swing and he and Jolie are about to go on their annual walk to watch the tourists.  When he wakes up the morning after his run in, he’s having all sorts of fantastic sexual thoughts about Jolie and he together.  When he runs to Jolie to help him figure out what’s happening, he realizes that maybe, just maybe the palm reader gave him a gift that will help him finally get the woman he loves.

The was a fun, sexy read.  The author did a great job of capturing the atmosphere of the French Quarter  and bringing the hedonistic flair into the relationship of Palmer and Jolie.  It was exactly what they needed to move their relationship out of the friend zone.
