Mixed martial arts fighter Reid Andrews’s chance to reclaim his title as light heavyweight champ is shattered when he’s injured only months before the rematch. To make sure he’s healed in time, his trainer sends him to recuperate under a professional’s care—Reid’s best friend’s little sister, all grown up.

Disorganized and bookish Lucie Miller needs some professional help of her own. She’d do anything to catch the eye of a doctor she’s crushed on for years, so when Reid offers seduction lessons in exchange for 24/7 conditioning for the biggest fight of his career, Lucie jumps at the chance.

Soon Reid finds him himself in the fight of his life…winning Lucie’s heart before she gives it to someone else

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Lucie Miller doesn’t have the best of luck when it comes to men.  Her ex-husband decided the faithfulness part of his wedding vows didn’t apply to him and she’s had a secret crush on a doctor who just asked for her best friend’s number.  But when her brother’s best friend, Reid Andrews, becomes her latest PT patient and commits to helping her win over said doctor, she can’t pass up the chance.

Reid needs to focus on rehabbing his shoulder so he can regain his UFC title.  But when he discovers his PT is none other than Lucie, and that’s she’s been crying, he vows to do whatever he can to dry those tears and ensure he’s ready for his rematch.  That “anything” winds up being Lucie as his private PT and he as the man who is going to teach her the art of seduction.

So there is no mystery about who is going to end up with who, but what I loved about this storyline was that Lucie and Reid were left to their own devices to figure out where their relationship was going. Sure, there were Lucie’s dates with Dr. Hottie that could have thrown a wrench in the works, but those served their purpose to prove to Lucie who she really wanted.  No pesky older brother showed up to kick Reid’s ass when he discovers more than rehab was going on at Lucie’s house…which I loved.  The only people Lucie and Reid had to fight to get to their HEA were truly themselves and when they left those demons at the door, the two of them were scorching hot!

I really enjoyed this one and look forward to more in the series.
