Fresh from defending her pack in battle, Natalya Stravinsky, a whip-smart werewolf with a lovable neurotic streak, wants a little rest and relaxation. Once an outcast, she’s now eager to rejoin the ranks of her New Jersey pack, and has even gotten a handle on her obsessive urge to hoard holiday ornaments. Yet Nat barely has time to revel in her progress before the next crisis comes howling at her door.

Nat’s father has suddenly gone missing, captured by the Russian werewolf mafia. And as Nat steps up to save her dad from a mob boss’s deadly game, two men step in to play another round for her heart: her gorgeous alpha ex-boyfriend, Thorn, and her new flame, the sweetly sensitive wizard Nick. With her life growing more harried by the minute, Nat must stay cool, calm, and collected . . . or else risk losing everything

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

A Jersey girl, born and raised, spending most weekends “down the shore”, I was all up for reading a book based out of Toms River, NJ. I expected to be reading yet another shifter romance but instead got so much more.

Outcast from her pack and dumped by the love of her life, runt of the litter, Natalya Stravinsky has let her OCD and hoarding tendencies run rampant and control her life. Fresh from helping defend her pack from a rival Long Island pack, Natalya is faced with saving her father from Russian Mafia werewolves. In a mad dash to save her father and restore her family honor, Natalya also has to deal with unresolved feelings for her ex, his new fiancé, a new love interest and the trials she must pass in order to be let back in to her pack.

To say this second installment to the Coveted series has a lot going on is putting it mildly. Madison, however, manages to make it work. With non-stop action, Kept will keep you wondering how Nat has managed to survive this far without a more dominant wolf killing her. Will Nat finally stand up for herself and what she wants? Will she choose the man made for her heart or the one made for her soul? Will Thorn stand up for the love of the woman he obviously still loves? These are questions I can answer. However, where would be the fun in that? For the answers to those questions and more you’ll have to wait until November and read it for yourself. I promise you, Kept is definitely worth the wait. My only wish… that I’d read Coveted first!
