Reviewer’s Thoughts:

I LOVED this book!!!

I loved everything about this book! It had humor, romance, tragedy, surprises–you name it. The story takes place in England. I have always wanted to visit England anyway and Mansell made me feel like I was already there.

The plot reminded me of one of my favorite movies, Love Actually. It has many characters with stories that intertwine, but you can’t see how that’s going to happen right away so you have to read on. There are a lot of lovable characters to root for–Harry was my favorite!

It culminates with a happy ending–at Christmas no less! However, it’s not a sappy “happily ever after”-type of ending. The story was realistic & human and I enjoyed that. I am looking forward to reading more of Jill Mansell’s work.

I am a lover of alpha males with dirty mouths, strong heroines putting alpha males in their place, and the Chicago Blackhawks. I'm a proud hockey mom who can often be found at the hockey rink cheering on my favorite forward, with my kindle close by.
