Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Sangria Nights:  Full Circle concludes the story of Luke, Mark, Lara, Lacy and Marissa.  We move forward twelves years to discover that Lacy is raising September Dawn, the child of her brother-in-law and sister-in-law after their deaths, along with her husband.  But when Lara and Mark show up on Lacy’s doorstep Christmas night, Lacy and September are forced to deal with exactly what happened on the night of September’s birth.

While the storyline was meant to bring closure to the events for the previous two books, I found myself with more questions.  Lacey never made it to her doctor’s appointment about her repressed memories from the night of September’s birth.  What were the memories that she was repressing?  What did Mark think when he awoke from a coma and didn’t find his wife there?  Why was he with Lara if he knew he was still married?  Unfortunately, these questions were never answered and those unanswered questions left me with little sympathy for either Lacy or Mark as they tried to move on.

Lacy was a strong character, since she did raise her niece for the past ten years and provide a good life for her, but she seemed to give into Mark a little to easily.  I wanted Mark to grovel a bit more and really have to work to get Lacy back and build a relationship with September.  He got off the hook a bit too easy.  I can understand Mark being in a coma for ten years, but after spending two years with his sister-in-law, I would have made him prove that he really wanted to be back with me.

For those that read the first two books in the series, I’m not sure if you’ll get the closure you’d be looking for.  Me?  I was left with a less than satisfying feeling.
