Mark and Julia from The Virgin and the Playboy have set the date! They are to be married at The Castillo Las Vegas, where they met on their 1Night Stand. All their family and friends are invited and they have planned a special surprise for their maid of honor and best man.
Karin, Julia’s cousin, a small town librarian, chose family obligations over her dreams of the stars. She loves them all, but wonders when it will be her turn to live as she wishes…if it isn’t too late.
Ray, commercial pilot, is every bit as much a playboy as his brother Mark used to be. He isn’t opposed to finding The One, but fears his brother has collected the only perfect jewel.

The Virgin and the Best Man is a follow up to The Virgin and the Playboy but can be read as a stand alone novella

Karin wanted to be an astronaut but her family convinced her that she needed a more down to earth career path and she became a librarian in the small town she lives in.  Her cousin Julia is getting married to the man Madame Eve set her up with and Karin is in Las Vegas to be the maid of honor at the wedding.

Ray can hardly believe his playboy brother is getting married but he has flown in to be his best man. Ray is realizing that it might be time to stop his wild ways and find someone to settle down with but he doesn’t know that another nice girl like his soon to be sister in law exists.

When Julia and Mark give Karin and Ray gift certificates to Madame Eve’s 1 Night Stand service the night before their wedding as thank you’s for being the maid of honor and the best man Ray decides he needs to help protect the innocent virgin Karin from who ever Madame Eve would set her up with.  His plan is to just stall her long enough it is to late for her to set up her date. That’s when the chemistry between Karin and Ray really kicks in.

The 1 Night Stand series has a fantastic line up and this is another great example of the sexy, funny and well written stories that come from this series. The sex is off the charts hot and often in this novella. As a follow up novella and as a novella period there is little back story or history but the story is compelling enough you don’t need it. This is a quick fun read, 4 cocktails for The Virgin and the Best Man
