Reviewer’s Thoughts

I make no secret of my fascination and love of this series. From the moment I picked up book 1, Dust of My Wings, I was hooked. I mean who wouldn’t be? Angels, not the cherub kind either, the warrior kind that kick butt and look hot while doing it, coming down to earth on a mission involving 7 women who were hit by supernatural lightning. I’d have to respectfully disagree with my fellow reviewers who say the lightning changed the women. The premise of the series is that every human has a bit of “other” in them that has been diluted through the centuries. That being said, the lightening basically kick-starts the other DNA, sort of like jump starting a dead car battery.

That being said, we’ve read Lily and Shade’s story, now Ryan gives us the much anticipated Her Warriors’ Three Wishes, Ambrose and Jamie’s story. Ambrose has known from the moment he met her that Jamie was his true mate but due to his tragic past loss he makes the conscious choice to stay away from her. Now an old enemy is determined to use Jamie to exact his revenge on Ambrose. Some how this warrior angel has to make his way in to the bowels of hell to save his mate before it’s too late. In the process this mating becomes a triad involving a demon. An angel – demon – other (nope, sorry not spoiling the surprise by revealing what type of other Jamie is. You’ll have to pick up the book and find out for yourself). All I can say is wow. Carrie Ann has definitely exceeded my expectations with this one.

The non-stop action only adds to the tension building between the characters. With enemy forces coming out of everywhere, will they be able to make this unique pairing work? Will outside forces end things just when they’ve finally found each other? Obviously not, this is a romance after all, so we know there will be a happily ever after in their future. But with Carrie Ann, the HEA usually comes at a price, so you never know what to expect.

With sex scenes hot enough to steam up this reader’s glasses and fantastic world building that you feel like you are really standing in the middle of it all, this romance is a definite must read for anyone who enjoys their paranormal with a lot of spice.
