Reviewer’s Thoughts

Grant continues to build the suspense to the point of distraction. When faced with either saving her brother’s life or keeping her soul, Evie makes the natural albeit difficult decision. But can she live with the choices she’s been forced to make? Will Malcolm be able to save both Evie and her brother?

I’ve reached the beginning of the nail biting portion of the book. This is the point where the suspense could literally kill me. Obviously everything will turn out all right. This is a romance after all. But this windy road is paved with so many bumps and unexpected turns in the appearance of the Dragons that you’ll be glad you’ve read the previous books in the series. Up until this point I would have said that this book could very well be read as a stand-alone novel. Grant does an excellent job of describing situations and giving enough background information that you need not have read the previous books to understand the motivation of the characters. But with the appearance of the Dragon Kings I’ve begun to revise my earlier opinion. It is not so much that you need to have read the other books. It’s more along the lines of you will want to wish you had because it will often explain their motivation.

I can’t wait to read the conclusion and see where Grant will take Malcolm and Evie next. On to part 4!
