Reviewer’s Thoughts

I love shifters.  I love fairy tales.  “Goldie and her Bears” by Honor James gave me both, so I’m a happy reader. I’ll admit that I was a little skeptical, at first.  I wasn’t sure if I was ready to accept a romantic, sexual spin on a beloved childhood story.  I needn’t have worried 🙂

Goldie was a little too trusting for her own good.  Due to circumstances that she probably should have seen coming, she finds herself running through the woods in need of some shelter.  She comes across a beautiful house, but she doesn’t get an answer when she pounds on the door.  Fortunately, the door is unlocked, and she is able to get inside just before a massive storm.  After a little nosh, she gets sleepy and makes herself comfortable.  Soon, she’s being awakened by three very handsome men who are very curious as to how such a lovely lady came to be in their home.  Did I mention that those handsome men are grizzly bear shape shifters?

That’s enough for spoilers, now.  “Goldie and Her Bears” was a really fun read.  The characters had great chemistry, and there were times when I laughed out loud.  I love it when my romance has humor thrown in.  There was also a bit of intrigue, which is also good.  The sex was HOT, but it wasn’t too over the top.  It is a menage a quatre, but none of the men have relations with each other.  That’s right.  Goldie is the lone, lucky recipient of three men’s attentions.  This was the first book by Honor James that I’ve read, and I look very forward to reading more.  I’d totally recommend this one.
